PROJECT eLibRO
(Electronic Library Resources for Online Learning)
Rationale
The DepEd has issued a mandate pursuant to DO No. 76, s.2011 which advocates the adoption and implementation of the Learning Resource Management and Development System (LRMDS), the SDO – Marikina City has continuously been providing access to quality learning resources in all formats. It has been a primary concern of the Curriculum Implementation Division to be of service to the school community and respond to the changing state of knowledge and the curriculum.
Program SPEAR develops its first project called eLibRO or Electronic Library Resources for Online Learning. It serves as a learning resource web-based platform for registered public-school learners and teachers and strengthens the core objectives of the eLearning Program that provides both e-learners and e-teachers standard learning materials, supplementary materials in digitized format, and audio-video lectures.
Changes in the library landscape have propelled the LRMDS Team in Marikina City to develop eLibRO Project that would support curriculum and instruction by responding to the academic needs of teachers and learners, helping develop media packages, disseminating information, and collaborating with academicians in planning and implementing programs of action.
